Video - Paleo/Primal in a Nutshell Part 2: Exercise

After a more than a week of toiling, I have finished this. I am also posting it to Train Now Live Later because it seems like its natural home, given the topic.

This was a harder nut to crack because it’s a more complex area and as someone who kindly previewed a draft copy pointed out, more controversial. No doubt it will generate some lively discussion, which, of course, is good.

I’d love to get your thoughts in the comments. I am on holiday for a few days, so there may be a delay before they get published and I get a chance to respond.

Video - Paleo/Primal in a Nutshell Part 1: Food

It struck me the other day just how much time I spend telling people what I eat. Then there's the inevitable discussion that follows, in which the usual questions are raised, to which I give the usual answers. And I thought - wouldn't it be nice if there was a 5-minute video which covers all that stuff? So I created one. Once I got started, it became something of a labour of love. I hope you enjoy it - and that it might save you as much time as it will save me!

For maximum impact, I recommend playing it full screen...

Primal/Paleo Twitter Community

I'm going to start using the #Primal tag on all my Twitter posts about what I am eating. See Mark Sissons' post, for the background.

For those not familiar with Twitter, imagine having a blog where all your posts have to be 140 characters or less. Just like you can subscribe to blogs with an RSS reader, if you have a Twitter account you can follow other Twitter users and have see all their mini-posts ('Tweets') on your home page. The difference is, with Twitter, everyone is a blogger if they want to be...

The # system is just a way of tagging your Tweets. If everyone starts tagging their tweets about Primal/Paleo eating then it allows two things:
  1. You can find other like-minded Twitterers by searching all tweets for the tag
  2. We have a great way to collect together all the fantastic meal and restaurant recommendations and suggestions that come from the community
Tagging a Tweet is as simple as including #Primal at the start of the Tweet. It's a shame you lose 7 of those valuable characters, but it's a small price to pay!

So get Twittering by signing up here... and why not start by following Mark and me!... Read more
